The season may be over, but the drama is still simmering for Bravo’s breakout hit Next Gen NYC. The cast is making it clear: unfinished business remains, and if cameras roll again, things could get even more explosive.
Ariana Biermann, 23, didn’t hold back when speaking exclusively to Us Weekly at DIRECTV’s Plot Twist featuring Bravo party on Tuesday, August 12.
“I think there was a lot of unresolved stuff,” Biermann admitted. “Maybe if there is a season 2, then that’s where we will hash it out.”
The show’s debut season followed a glamorous and sometimes messy group of young New Yorkers navigating friendship, romance, and ambition wrapped without a reunion special. For co-star Brooks Marks, 26, that was a missed opportunity for fireworks.
“There are a lot of things that are unresolved from the end of the season,” Marks revealed during Us’ interview at The Perch by Skylight atop PENN 2 in New York City. “Someone did remove himself from the group chat.”
When pressed on whether that “someone” could be fellow cast member Charlie Zakkour, Marks responded with a knowing laugh, a subtle confirmation that added more fuel to fan speculation.
A Ratings Smash
Even without a reunion, Next Gen NYC’s premiere made an undeniable impact. According to Deadline, it became Bravo’s most-watched series premiere of all time, signaling that viewers are more than ready for a fresh wave of New York drama.
While Bravo hasn’t yet announced a second season, the cast has plenty of ideas for what and who they’d like to see if the network gives the green light.Georgia McCann sees potential in adding new personalities to the mix.
“I feel like there’s always room to mix up the cast. Like, why not? It keeps things exciting,” McCann shared at DIRECTV’s MyEntertainment Genre Pack event. “Maybe, like, another New Yorker. The male version of me would be really fun to have. I think everyone is interesting as it is.”
Marks, meanwhile, hopes to give his sister Chloe more screen time. Biermann has her own family wish list, hoping for an appearance from her older sister, Brielle Biermann.
“I’d love to have her,” Ariana said. “She wasn’t able to come to New York. Her and her fiancé are always traveling.”
Gia Giudice, 24, spoke about season 2’s possibilities while attending iHeartRadio and Vrbo’s pickleball tournament in Lake Tahoe, California. She’s pushing for more episodes and deeper storytelling.
“If and when there’s a season 2, I think the cast will pretty much stay the same,” Giudice predicted. “Maybe they’ll add a couple more. You’ll just see the relationships form a little more hopefully and we’ll get some more episodes.”
As for family connections, Gia doesn’t expect her cousin Antonia Gorga — the daughter of RHONJ star Melissa Gorga to join just yet.
“A lot of our scenes involve us going out for drinks. She doesn’t turn 21 for another year,” she explained. “I think it’s a different age bracket, but I wish her all the best, though.”
What Fans Can Expect If Season 2 Happens
Between the hints of unresolved fights, mysterious group chat drama, and the possibility of fresh faces, a second season of Next Gen NYC could bring more chaos and entertainment than ever.
From fiery confrontations to long-awaited reconciliations, the cast seems ready to settle scores or stir up even bigger ones. And if the record-breaking ratings are any indication, fans are eager to watch every second.
Until Bravo makes it official, viewers will just have to keep replaying season 1 moments and speculating about what really happened behind the scenes after the cameras stopped rolling. One thing’s certain: in Next Gen NYC, the drama doesn’t end when production wraps.
