Kanye West turned his latest Yeezy runway show into a family affair, stepping out with all four of his children at the fashion event in Los Angeles on Wednesday, November 4. The rapper, 49, was joined by his daughters North, 13, and Chicago, 8, as well as his sons Saint, 10, and Psalm, 7, whom he shares with his ex-wife Kim Kardashian.
The appearance brought the family into the spotlight as West presented his latest fashion collection. All four children attended the event, with each showcasing a different monochromatic look. North, however, stood out with her distinctive styling, sporting long blue hair that reached her waist. She wore her hair straight and complemented the look with matching blue contact lenses. The teenager paired an oversized black coat with black boots for the occasion.
North also posed for photographs alongside her stepmother, Bianca Censori, who attended the fashion show with the family. The Australian architect, 31, made a bold fashion statement in a fitted one-piece jumpsuit featuring a plunging neckline that extended down to her navel. Their appearance together added another notable moment to the event, particularly given the public interest surrounding West’s family and relationships.
West shares his four children with Kardashian, 46, whom he married in 2014 before their marriage ended in 2022. Despite their separation, the former couple continue to navigate their parenting responsibilities while maintaining relationships between their children and both sides of the family.
Kardashian recently offered insight into their coparenting arrangement in Citizen Kim: The Woman Who Created the Future, an authorized biography written by journalist and author Jonathan Van Meter. In the book, the reality television star spoke candidly about her ongoing concerns for West, explaining that their shared responsibility for raising their children means she will always care about his well-being.
“Oh, I worry about [Kanye] all day,” Kardashian said. “All the time. That’s the father of my kids, I’ll never not worry about him. And that’s a big burden of having kids with someone who you don’t necessarily get along with.”
She also explained that she makes a conscious effort to keep any disagreements or negative experiences away from their children. Kardashian said she tries to put aside the difficulties in their relationship to ensure the children maintain a positive connection with their father. Although she acknowledged that setting boundaries is important, she described their current coparenting arrangement as relatively peaceful.
“My kids would never know that. I do everything in my power to forget about all the negative things that happened. I have to be realistic, and my therapist definitely tells me, ‘Your boundaries have to go up,’ but we manage to coparent without too much conflict,” she added.
Kardashian further described their relationship as having been fairly smooth for some time, partly because they do not communicate frequently. However, she noted that they remain cordial when they see each other and continue to maintain connections with each other’s families.
“It’s been pretty smooth for a while. I guess because we don’t talk that much. But when we see each other, we give each other a hug,” she explained.
The SKIMS founder also emphasized that she wants West’s family to remain involved in the children’s lives. She described having a welcoming relationship with his relatives and said she encourages them to spend time with the children whenever they are in town. According to Kardashian, she has an open-door policy that allows West’s family to visit, have dinner with them, take the children out or simply spend time together.
Kardashian also discussed how she handles communication with West, revealing that she frequently communicates with him through Censori or his manager rather than speaking to him directly. She said she sometimes creates explanations for the children when their father is unavailable, particularly when he is traveling, because she wants to protect their perception of him.
“I’m always like, ‘Oh, Dad’s traveling,'” Kardashian said, explaining that she continues to make up stories to shield the children from the difficulties between their parents. She added that she wants them to grow up believing their father is a great person despite the challenges that have occurred between the former couple.
She also revealed that she regularly invites West to spend time with their children at their home, even offering to leave the house so they can enjoy time together comfortably. Kardashian said she has encouraged him to stay overnight with the children and has made efforts to include him in important family celebrations.
Recalling their previous Christmas arrangements, Kardashian said she had invited West to spend Christmas Eve with the children and even encouraged him to bring Censori along. She expressed her willingness to put aside their personal disagreements to make family occasions enjoyable for the children.
“Last Christmas, I said, ‘Sleep over on Christmas Eve. Bring your girlfriend.’ I’m easy! ‘Let’s all do Christmas together.’ And I’ll recommend it again this year,” she said.
Kardashian added that she is willing to overlook the hurtful things West has said about her to ensure their children can continue having a meaningful relationship with their father.
West’s appearance at the Yeezy fashion show with all four children comes amid Kardashian’s recent comments about the importance of maintaining a stable coparenting relationship. While the former couple continue to manage their differences, Kardashian has made clear that preserving the children’s bond with their father remains one of her priorities.
